Image shows the common biological characteristics of stem cells and cancer and how epigenetic regulations control the stem cell like features of cancers

Welcome!

The Atlasi research group is dedicated to studying stem cell and cancer epigenetics. Specifically, we investigate the interplay between cell signalling and chromatin regulation in stem cells, as well as how these mechanisms are deregulated in cancer, including the development of chemotherapy resistance in tumours. We employ various stem cell models, such as embryonic stem cells and tissue-derived organoids, along with cutting-edge genomics, proteomics, and computational biology approaches. Our goal is to make fundamental discoveries that can ultimately address significant health challenges in society.
